Oil Paint Supply Recommendations
My preferred brand of oil paint is Duo Aqua Oil by Holbein. It is a water mixable oil paint which removes the need for solvents.
I find sometimes certain colors are more vibrant in their traditional form than in their water soluble version. When I do use traditional oil paint my preferred brand is Gamblin Artist Oils.
Gamblin’s student grade line of oil paint 1980 Oil Colors are very nice and a great value.
There are lots of quality paint companies to choose from. Just be aware that if you buy student grade brands, paint consistency and color purity can sometimes be an issue.
